Once Upon an Enchanted Forest

While every clock in the piece is set to 12:30, the bold words in the center read “12:00.” The piece explores themes of mental health and the pressures of work in modern life.

This piece is a diptych of monochromatic scenes in green and orange. The piece depicts a relationship that has degraded over time with distance and contrast between the two people. Broken Ties was made with alcohol-based markers on absorbent watercolor paper.
